The Yarmouth & Area Chamber of Commerce has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join us as a Community Navigator (CN). This challenging role will assist in recruiting and retaining medical professionals within the Yarmouth region.
Who We’re Looking For…
As the Community Navigator, you will work under the direction and goals set by an oversight committee and your daily work will be overseen by the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce. You must have mature interpersonal and communication skills; you should be able to make connections and draw out key information. You are a partnership builder; the work of this position is funded by several different groups and your ability to work with all of them and the Nova Scotia Health Authority is of the utmost importance. You must have a strong passion for this community and have intimate knowledge of all aspects of it so that you can sell the region as a place of choice to live and work. You must have organizational skills which will help you track contacts over many years. You are naturally self-motivated. A post-secondary education and an understanding of the health care system will be an asset.
You must be willing to travel throughout the province, Canada and possibly abroad and have flexible working hours. Above all, you must have a genuine desire to help and represent our community in ways that make us proud.
